Developmental Counselling
Relations promote people seeking professional counselling to deal with their personal issues and to realise their potential. For this we are associated with CHILD, a non-profit charitable trust. Our organisational clients can approach Asha Counselling and Training Services (a unit of CHILD) to avail of this service.
What is Counselling?
Counselling, with the primary framework of transactional analysis, is a professional activity within a contractual relationship. The counselling process enables clients or client systems to develop awareness, options and skills for problem management and personal development in daily life through the enhancement of their strengths, resources and functioning. Its aim is to increase autonomy in relation to their social, professional and cultural environment.
The Process
Employees can refer themselves or shall be referred by their superiors for counselling. Those who need counselling shall visit our Counselling Centre on appointment:

Counsellors may also visit clients’ premises on prior appointments on continuous basis.
Our counsellors are professionally trained and work under supervision. They use Transactional Analysis as their principal framework but follow an eclectic approach.
Our Counsellors follow the following basic guiding principles
- Strict confidentiality will be maintained. Contents of the sessions will not be disclosed to others, including the superiors and the top management under any circumstances (exemptions to this will be under circumstances when the counsellor perceives any threat or danger to the client or the organisation)
- Counsellor will maintain detailed case sheets for each client which will be under the safe custody of the counsellor
- All work will be contractual between the client and counsellee where the responsibility to fulfill the contract lies on both
- Communication will be open and direct
